Personal Effects below 45kgs:

If leaving Bangkok and you wish to send items back to your country please remember 45kgs is the minimum airfreight weight. Below this you pay for the full 45kgs. If sending under this use the Post Office in Thailand. They supply cardboard boxes and you can send economy air. Sending by airfreight you still pay freight and clearance costs at the destination but if the P.O there may be a fee but not as much as air or sea.

Personal Effects unaccompanied luggage

If leaving Bangkok and you find you are overweight you will find charges are anywhere up to 1300 baht per kg If this happens to you go to the Laos Aviation depot near the N ? at the overseas departure floor at Suvannabhumpi airport and they will pack into a box for sending back to anywhere else in the world. Make sure its personal items eg clothes etc. Cost is normally 1/2. They will send on the next available flight . You will be given an Airwaybill invoice. Once back go to your Agriculture & Customs to get a clearance on the items then go to the International freight office at the airport to uplift. If theres items customs pr MAF wish to check then there will be an inspection fee and the Freight office will charge an inspection fee around $33.?? but can vary for them to release your goods.
