you can get non immigrant B visas. double and multiple tourist visas.
If you are on a
tourist visa living or staying in Thailand and travel say to
Hongkong for a few days make sure when you re enter Thailand
you have your onward ticket. If not you will be jailed by
Immigration on entering until someone brings your exit
ticket from your home showing immigration for leaving
Thailand.
Please note you must leave Thailand if your
Visa expires. if you use agents then you will be prosecuted.
The law states one must leave themselves. Please note you can
obtain a non immigrant B visa in Penang if you have the
right company papers and WP3 or Tor tor 3 form from the labour office In Mae Sai if going for a tourist
one month visa you must show 10,000 baht when you come
back into Thailand. For families 40,000 baht in cash and 3 month non
immigrant holders 20,000 baht you must show to the
Thai border on the way into Thailand. However dress nicely
as they are only asking those they think do not have any
cash but be aware of this IN CASE YOU ARE ASKED. All other
border crossings they do not ask for cash.

OVERSTAY IS NOW 500 BAHT PER DAY.

PASSPORT HOLDERS: U.S.
Passports No Longer be Issued Abroad. All
passports, except those required for urgent travel, will be
issued in the United States using the new more secure
photo-digitized imaging system. U.S. embassies and consulates will continue to issue
passports that are needed for urgent travel. However, such
passports will be limited in validity, and cannot be
extended. Bearers will be required to exchange, at no
additional cost, their limited-validity passports for a
full-validity digitized passports upon completion of their

MAE
SAI: At Mae Sai
immigration exit point on the crossing to Myanmar there is a
sign posted saying persons re-entering Thailand will have to carry at least 10,000
baht or cash equivalent to come back into Thailand. For non
immigrant holders who want 60-90 days you must show 20,000
baht IF ASKED and for families 40,000 baht. A bank
savings book, credit card etc is not acceptable – you will
need to show cash !!! HOWEVER THIS IS ONLY RANDOM SO YOU MAY
BE WELL DRESSED AND ASKED TO SHOW THE CASH OR NOT AT ALL AND
DEPENDS HOW THEY FEEL BUT BE AWARE OF IT. Make sure you have
$US5 to cross into Tachelik AND AT THE MOMENT IT IS NOT
ENFORCED TO SHOW THE MONEY. REMEMBER OVERSTAY IS NOW 500
BAHT PER DAY.
When reapplying for your visa you must go to the
Immigration border. DO NOT USE AGENTS
TO SECURE YOUR VISA. If going by bus remember the last aircon bus leaves Mae Sai
at 3.30pm for ChiangMai. The Nachonchair Air bus also leaves
for Pattaya. From Mae Sai immigration catch a Songtaew 5 baht to the
border. Walk straight across & hand your passport to
Myanmar with $US10 or 500 baht now before the Burma archway on
the right. They give you a voucher then
when you return your passport is stamped and you cross back
to Thailand. No charge on the Thai side and you fill out
your TM card & have your entry stamped. ONLY buy 2 bottles & 2
cartons of cigarettes per person & do not listen to them
if they say more----the Customs watch you like hawks? &
will fine you 1000 baht per extra bottle. Don't buy playing
cards as you will be fined coming back to Thailand at 2000
baht a box----even though you can buy in Thailand. Theres nothing
really to buy in Tachelik apart from DVD's and everything is
now cheaper on the Thai side--Jan 2007 .BORDER

Saen: you can cross the border to the casino and it
costs 500 baht via boat to Myanmar. Situated 60kms from
ChiangRai. They will give you a tourist visa on the other
side cost is 250 baht. Open 7 days as far as we know &
you do not need a visa before hand. Just arrive. BORDER

Khong: If you are a tourist and go across the border to laos you may be asked for exit travel documents out. If not you will be locked up so have a return ticket to where you come from just in case. A recent case happened in May 2007 where a foreigner was stranded. The boat fare is 20 baht each way. Nothing much to buy over
the border except Laos beer --large bottles 30 baht &
cans 20 baht ---really nice stuff & of course bottles of

to Victoria Point Tenasserim Myanmar:
From Saphan phla Pier boat ride across
Pak Chan estuary to Victoria Point. You will stop at two
places before Burma, Thai office will check you have an exit
visa and stop at Burma's immigration pay the 5 dollars
and for them to verify you have a exit visa from Thailand.
Give the longtail boat driver your passport with a $5 bill
and stay on the boat & the ride can cost 40-100 baht
depending on the mood.

If you dress
nicely you will be treated as such; and remember Thai people
have very clean habits which a few foreigners could learn
from ie. dress like a hippy & you will be treated like
one!!!!!!!!!!! Some travel Offices
in Chiangmai will get you the visa for 3 months eg.PP Travel
(Thapae Rd) 1000 baht just for a Laos Visa;)---cost is 2000 baht for them to
get the visa although we are not sure if these are
........OK? as the stamps are not from any of the 3 main
foreign borders. ( TAT certified 023-0533 ).
Penang:
Yes you now can get non immigrant 3 month visa & with the right Tax and company papers a multiple or double entry B visa. To get a non immigrant B visa you will be
asked to show your work permit otherwise you need to show a WP3
form from the Labour Office or letter stating your worl
permit is being processed to secure a single entry non
immigrant visa if at all. If you have the right papers heres a check
list: Take all your company papers
and just in case company stamp, letter from your company
inviting you to join or need a visa, tax certificate, CV of
applicant, photos x2; also passport copies & work permit
& COPY & you may need references so take these as

Visa: Get your tourist visa
at any Lao embassy overseas or through a tour agency. Visas
on arrival at Vientiane's Wattay International airport and
Lao side of the Thai-Laos friendship border bridge by Nong
Khai Thailand and. Visitors need a valid passport, one
photo, a fee of US$ 30.

border crossing as long as it is registered in your name.

available on arrival.
Nong Khai:
TRAVEL IN LAOS AT YOUR OWN RISK. don't buy your visa to visit Laos from Tuk Tuks etc as you
will be ripped off. At the Lao
Embassy in Nong Khai you get a 2 week visa for $30.
The Lao people outside the Thai visa office can take care of
your visa. A 3 month tourist costs 300 baht or you can give
them 1000 baht and they do everything and deliver your visa
to the hotel at 1 pm next day "which sure beats
standing in line in the heat,,we stayed in a hotel that was
nice king size beds and not to old dining room and hot
water. Big clean room, Chalnxay or something. 600 baht per
day and 1 and 1/2 blocks from visa office" BORDER

China's Yunnan and
Myanmar's Shan state:
Kyegaung border check point by the
Shwe Li or Yuli river flows Muse (Shan state) and Ruli (Yunnan)
towns & foreign tourists can a travel agent to apply
for a permit for them to travel across this border. You need
passport copies, travel itinerary, photos etc always carry
photos and passport copies. You need a Myanmar guide inside
Shan state.
Cambodia
Visa: on arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport ,
Siem Reap Airport and international border check points.
Need passport, copies and 1 photographs (4x6) and fill out
the forms. Minthly Tourist visa costs US$20, a business visa
costs US$ 25 and may be extended in-country. Tourist visa
can be extended only one month at a time, while a Business
visa can be extended indefinitely.
Cambodia:
Aranyaprathet/Poipet Border crossing point open from 7am
till 8pm, visa on arrival to Cambodia 1,000baht.Its a crap
town but full of fakes and touts. Sishopan is the town past
Poipet. Dirt road still to Siam Reap. Pong Nam Rorn (
or Pong Nam Ron ), Ban Laem to Daung Lem Border Crossing:
Battambang. Cambodian visa on arrival issued at this point.
Koh Kong crossing point into Kampot
Cambodia.
Cambodian visa on arrival available and the border crossing
is open from 7am till 5 pm.
Vientiane, Singapore:
is Ok for marriage visas. Must show 400,000
baht in a bank account. Other places for multi entry O visas
are Australia: Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and you don't need
to show in your Thai account but check first and be prepared Poipet: Cost
is 1000 baht at the Cambodian side and they will not take US$ for a visa 30
days into Cambodia.BORDER

Phnom
Penh: Some tourists have a hard time as the visa post is
in the front of the Embassy and run by Khmers who hold the
forms. If too many stamps or your dress is not nice you may be
refused.
Singapore:
If you come into thailand on a tourist visa you must leave to get an O non imkigrant. Marriage visas showing 400,000 baht multi entry O
visas are OK here. Take all yopur papers: marriage cert;
proof of money in Bank account and take statements with you.

Cambodia: Recently
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cambodia and
International Cooperation is launching e-Visa that enables
traveler to apply for a travel visa online. The applicant
does not need to visit a Cambodian Embassy to submit an
application or even need to sent an application to the
Embassy and wait for a response. All they need is to access
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, http://www.mfaic.gov.kh,
get their passport and credit card information ready and
e-Visa will deliver the Visa to their mailbox for them to
print. You can always review our website for more
