Chian House has been around for many years now and still has an honesty system book where you sign in for your meals and drinks and make your own coffee or tea for 15baht. It is family freindly and many expats also frequent there. INTERNET CAFE & TOURISM TREKS AND RENTALS AVAILABLE. Still excellent meals under 100baht by both Chian & his wife and very popular with the backpackers and tourists and even ex pats as a meeting place today. The rooms are cheap, clean and tidy; the service great and theres a swimming pool for you to use. The meals too are excellent with Meusli, fruit and yogurt large bowl only 60baht as with Bacon and eggs any style with toast but the bacon is the best = 60baht which is very good = as at July 29th 2007. If you need pickup from the airport cost is 200baht for 2 people and over this is extra and to & from the bus or boat 60baht charge. All rooms are nice and large and well set out and you can hire bikes or motorcycles here as well. Chian and his staff can offer you guidance and the best places to go into the hills around Chiangrai which are undoubtedly the best there is.
