Established in 1963 Kelston is a Boys only school situated on 20 acres in Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. They have available audio visual facilities, computer labs, music, library and arts centre. Lifestyle In December 2002 a block of land was purchased on Auckland’s North Shore at 418 Albany Highway, Albany. A brick and tile house with manicured gardens existed on part of the property and the remaining land contained a horse paddock. A magnificent Totara tree stands 20 metres tall In the middle of the paddock with an estimated age of more than 150 years. After considerable research, a plan was developed to build lifestyle student accommodation amongst a park-like setting within the property. It was a priority for us to maintain the existing house and blend in with the existing environment. The Totara tree and the manicured gardens were to play a prominent role in the overall design and establishment of the new development - Innovative design, quality construction at Universe City The current design includes five buildings which comprises of two and three storey dwellings. Each dwelling is split intoa left and right wing with a foyer in the middle. All ground levels have two 6 bedroom self-contained apartments. All mid levels (3-storey only) also have two 6 bedroom self-contained apartments. All top floors have 4 bedroom apartments. Each apartment includes lounge, dining, kitchen, cupboards and all other standard facilities (laundries are located at the Community Centre). The 6 bedroom apartments include two showers, two toilets and two vanities. The four bedroom apartments have one shower, one vanity and two toilets. All apartments are built of quality permanent materials and are fully furnished to accommodate most (if not all) requirements for this type of accommodation. Location Situated in close proximity to schools and universities - Universe City provides sought after student accommodation - less than 100 metres stroll to the access gates of Massey University and only a short distance to nearby Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and Kristin School.
