Those wishing to make new purchases must send copies of their passports for travel abroad as all factories are military installations. This takes approx 2 weeks to seek approval then you are allowed to view and discuss your buy.

We can deliver to you via heavy lift plane to your country. We accept applications for repairs and sales of your helicopters.

 

MI- 2:  RUSSIAN HELICOPTER SALES


The Mi-2 powered by two turbine engines was the first Mi-2 helicopter manufactured in 1965. Until the end of the 1980s they sold over 5500 helicopters. The PZL-Kania helicopter is derived from the Mi-2 helicopter and made in Poland. The test flight of its prototype was performed on June 6th, 1979.The standard passenger version of Mi-2 helicopter has seating for 1 pilot and 8 passengers. The interior can be quickly converted for transport of 700kg of cargo. The range of the helicopter with external tanks, as standard, is 580km. This version is designed for transporting 2-4 casualties on stretchers and seating for medical attendants. It is equipped with stretchers, intensive care medical devices necessary during flight & other first aid equipment. Internal cargo carrier of loads up to 700kg (1544lb), or as a flying crane with cargo sling for loads up to 800kg (1764lb). The helicopter is equipped in standard with a set of load tiedown rings, load securing ropes and nets, protecting the load from movement during flight. Electric hoists can be installed for lifting loads of up to 120kg.

The agricultural version of the helicopter is available in four basic variants designed for specific types of operations, eg. LV spraying, ULV spraying, dusting and spreading. The total capacity of the hoppers (which can carry solid as well as liquid chemicals) is 1200 litres.

The Mi-2 found widespread fields of activity both with military, state and commercial operators. Besides transport of freight and passengers, the Mi-2 has also found work as ambulance, police and Search-and-Rescue helicopter. Although demand for its services has declined since the break-up of the USSR - especially in the agricultural sector - many Mi-2 still remain in service all around the CIS and in many of its former satellite states.

Mil Mi-2 is a light multi-purpose twin-turbine helicopter  with a three-bladed main rotor and a two-bladed tail rotor. It  replaced the earlier Mi-1 & used for transport of passengers,freight, for training, reconnaissance and rescue tasks.

The MI-2 Hoplite provides transport and fire support. The MI-2 can conduct reconnaissance and provide close air support with 57mm rockets. It has smoke generator mounted to provide a wide area smoke screen in front of units, screening their movements. Additional missions include; direct air support, antitank, armed reconnaissance, transport, medevac, airborne command post, minelaying, and training.

The first prototype of Mi-2 (NATO reporting name Hoplite) flew in September 1961. Based on an agreement from 1964, further development, production and sales of this type was passed over to Poland. Two years later, the PZL Company started the production in Poland by the PZL Swidnik aircraft factory. 

The three-blade main rotor is mounted on top of a large hump above the body midsection. Two turboshaft enginess are mounted side-by-side on top of cabin, forming a hump, with round air intakes above the cockpit and oval exhausts on the sides of the engines. The fuselage with fixed landing gear features a stepped-up cockpit and rounded nose, and a tadpole-shaped body. The tapered tail boom has small, unequally tapered flats and a thin, swept-back fin with a rotor on the right.

Can carry underslung loads up to 800 kg. On each side of the fuselage, external fuel tanks (capacity of 2 x 238 litres) can be fixed. The helicopter is equipped with a non-retractable tricycle-type landing gear with a twin-wheel nose unit. It is powered by two Isotov GTD-350 engines (2 x 330 kW), also manufactured by the Polish PZL Company under a licence.

The cabin with the length of 2.27 m (4.05 m including flight-deck), width of 1.2 m and height of 1.4 m can accommodate up to 8 persons or, with seats removed, up to 700 kg of load or two stretchers and two seated persons. The cabin is accessible by two front doors on each side of the fuselage and one larger door on the port side. The cabin door is hinged rather than sliding, which may limit operations. There is no armor protection for the cockpit or cabin. Ammo storage is in the aircraft cabin, so combat load varies by mission.

Some Mi-2USs currently employ fuselage-mounted weapon racks rather than the 23-mm fuselage-mounted cannon which is removed. Some variants however, still employ the cannon. External stores are mounted on weapons racks on each side of the fuselage. Each rack has two hardpoints for a total of four stations.
