Chiangmai- & loads of restaurants too many to count as they continue to
grow. However these ones we enclose are foreign favourites and who advertise in

MGM.Restaurant (Dutch) in
the middle of the moat. Open 7.30am to late at night this restaurant bar is
right beside popular John's Bar and a favourite spot for ex pats. Friendly
service they have a full travel service from treks to tours from one day to 1
month tours all over Thailand and further to Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.
They also do cheap Travel world wide. Thai/ European food and breakfast all day.

THE ESCAPE Restaurant
(USA) is one of the most popular ex pat retreats with
meals served all day. Large breakfasts served all day & they are
reknown for their large American/English breakfasts served from 8.00am to 10.30pm The Escape is
a favourite with the long term stayers and is very popular. They have home
made English pies, roast meals every day & well worth a visit. Their
Special is baby back BBQ pork ribs for 100 baht on a Thursday night
but they will be having a 60 baht spaghetti & the new owners have
loads of great ideas for the future.
If you
want to know local information then the Escape is the place to ask. The Escape
has had an excellent reputation being in a quieter part of town yet close

JERUSALEM FALAFEL: (Israeli)
on Moon Muang Rd in the heart of the old city. Thai & Vegetarian food, home
made cakes, Israeli food, and catering service. A good meeting place for the

LIBERNARD COFFEE WORKS: (Thai) beside
the Jerusalem Falafel this cafe makes its own coffee and also supplies coffee.
Nice setting and you can have breakfast there & buy your coffee to take

DARETS HOUSE: (Thai) still
the favourite restaurant for backpackers and the cheapest foreign/Thai food in
town. Right on the moat opposite JJ's this meeting spot also has 100 baht rooms
for rent. Extremely friendly and honest Mr See who runs Darets has been around
for a long time now and they also have a Travel Centre-- ask for Nu.Rooms are 80
baht to 100 baht

THE RIVER DELI ( Swedish )
right on the Ping River this new Restaurant has everything for the kids and the
family. Yes, a family restaurant on the busy 233 Charoenrat RD near the Nakorn
Ping Bridge. They do breakfast, lunch and dinners wirh BBQs: Wed, Friday
and Sat all you can eat. They sell beer on tap and can help you with Visa

VOODOO LOUNGE
owned by American pilot Yoshi & Bua has Rock bands every night;
excellent priced Thai and foreign food and is a popular place to enjoy the

J.J. BAKERY one of
the most popular restaurants in ChiamgMai. Aircon and very popular these
restaurants in Chiang Inn Plaza at the night bazaare & also on Thapae
Gate on Moon Muang Rd are crowded daily. They open at 6.30am to 11.00pm
and have International & Thai meals all day every day. They even have
the fabulous FACCACIO outlet next door to J.J's at the Chiang Inn Plaza.

THE POOLSIDE BAR & POOL owned
by Englishman Mark & Liza this is a popular expat and tourist spot
where you can lounge beside the pool or play pool & darts. the
poolside is attached to the Prince Hotel and opens at 10.30am to late.
They have 300 baht rooms overlooking the pool. An
excellent place to stay is the Prince Hotel
NIGHTCLUB: Blue Moon
