SUBIC BAY PHILIPPINE S TRAVEL & WHAT TO DO:

Subic Bay town is not that big and easy to get around. Jeepney have area streets on their side to remember

ANGELES TO SUBIC BAY:

This is where the beaches are and nice resorts 90 minutes from Angeles. You can catch the bus either Fly the Bus or the Southern Cross Hotel Bus which leaves Angeles from the BRASS KNOB HOTEL 440 21st St, Don Juico Ave Clarkeville, Angeles City ( 045-892-5475 run by a nice Australian couple Roy and Tess. Bus leaves at 9am for Subic Bay the 9 minute Bus trip.Cost is 500P. Just book in your hotel for the bus trip and the van will pick you up and deliver you to the bus Hotel.SOUTHERN CROSS HOTEL IS IN 1122 M.H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila Tel: (02)521-2013 Fax (02) 525-5371 website: www.southerncrosshotel.com and they can take you to the airport in Manila for 350P.

Fly the Bus leaves Angeles -Subic 10am Mon-Wed-Fri-Sun from Swagman Resort to any Hotel in Subic Bay. The return journey Subic to Angeles leaves at 12.30pm from Swagman Travel office to the Swagman Resort in Angeles but they will pick you up. Can take you right to your Hotel so its convenient and the road to Subic is a tollway in excellent order. For more info on Subic Bay [ Hotels & Subic info ] but there are many apartments and cottages for hire on the beach front if you want your own privacy.

There are many hotels in Subic Bay but the most convenient for the average traveller but the town also has everything from JOLLIBEE EATERY to Starbucks etc. About 50 up the road from Wild Orchid or Treasure island is a little convemient store that makes its own tacos and Enchiladas & will sell you fresh made salsa for the tortilla chips. Useful information at

LUCKY MIKES right on Baloy Beach road between Treasure Island and Wild Orchid . Mike the owner is a nice guy and worth a visit if you want to buy drinks to homemade burgers etc away from your Hotel. yOU CAN TAKEAWAY so try the Tacos best value with his own sauce mix salsa --unreal. Tacos genuine Mexic 3 for 130P; Coffe or chocolate hot = 15-20P; Hot dogs with fries 60P; Milk shakes 25-50P; Bacon eggs on toast for 110P & Beers for 25P a bottle.

Food wise great meals but they never give you a free tea, coffee or even water in the deal. You never even see FREE water in your Hotel rooms so you pay for what you see. Don't expect FREE like in Thailand Pattaya Samui etc

Bikes like a Honda Dream cost 500P for 24 hours hire. You can negotiate rates for bigger bikes

Bring just light clothes and buy what you need here. Its cheap to buy clothes and you can buy Cialis etc on the streets of Angeles. Angeles is a bit of a dump really as its a bar place but Ok if youre single and looking for someone special but nothing like Pattaya Thailand which is tops on most things. Main square in Subic City

Subicwater Co. discharges raw sewage from the Central Business District into Subic Bay from an outfall located on the bottom of the Bay, eighty feet under the surface, directly offshore from the Chamber office. Subicwater will not build a sewage treatment plant to treat the raw sewage it is now dumping into the Bay even in 2009. Subicwater is obliged to invest and construct a main central sewerage treatment plant in SBMA to eliminate sewage outfalls to Subic Bay and it's been 11 years in operation and nothing has been done--warning to swimmers.
