Manila city the roads and city in the Philippines

There are many 7/11s in the Philippines and they are across the boards selling all the necessities you may want. Most have a security armed on guard as you will find the odd poor kid hanging around outside wanting money. The 7/11s have milk, bread, and all the drinks you need and open 24 hour in true 7/11 fashion.

Theres many places to eat but the best is the Robinsons food centre on the 2nd flloor. Cheap inexpensive you will also see JOLLIBEE fast food for your hotdogs and spaghetti bolognaise dishes; Pizza Hutt and many food outlets ij this centre which is the best in Manila plus it has a supermarket.. See menu below. There are also many Pizza parlours, Wendys, MacDonalds, Starbucks and Kentucky Fried outlets and the breads and cakes are really cheap and excellent. Best to eat out away from Hotels as the food it too expensive but remember its Hotel food and all Hotels everywhere are dear. The difference in Philippines is that the drinks are not free--not even a complimentary water is served in most Hotels so you pay for everything. The only one we fiound with a jug for making tea/coffee in your room was the Walkabout Hotel in Angeles.

7/11s everywhere and you can't beat these stores for all your everyday necessities and drinks etc. Philippine food they do not use chillies and spices like Thai food but its nice with an adsense of vegeltables. They prefer to eat meats but the buns and breads are good.

SIMM CARDS & WHERE TO BUY IN MANILA: Smart or GLOBE simcard and Talk n Text simm are cheap in Philippines. Go to most telephone shops and buy the simm for 409P and 30P then top up for 100P and away you go. Make sure your phone is unlocked. Even Money changers sell cards etc and 7/11s.

POWER OUTLETS IN MANILA:Are 2 pin flats or round 220 volts 60hz no earth. You can buy adaptors cheap in Ace Hardware in the malls easy enough and cheap and all hardwarse and 7/11s sell them as well. Also your hotel may have..

In many Hotels unless they say wireless is free then its not especially in Manila. The cost to use wireless which most Hotels won't tell you when you book is 250P for 1 hour in a 24 hour period & 450P for 4 hours in any hour period and 960P for 10 hours over a 48 hour period. Go to Robinsons and use for FREE. The login is: "Robinsonsmalls" or you can go to the GLOBE Internet shop and buy hours using their Globe wireless. You can buy a weekly Wireless card for 1680P and monthly for 3600P from http://wifi.hiwire.net.ph or by calling 6700-7777. However check on the net for wireless outlets but now theres many including MacDonalds and Starbucks have wireless and more coming on board. Check to make sure you have wireless in your room before you book as some only have in reception or restaurant areas.
