Angeles City the start of the walking street??? THAILAND TO ANGELES PHILIPPINES: Check out Kuwait airways which is cheaper than Cebu and also check the difference of going to Manila or Clarke. Cebu charges for luggage and you will need to shop around. Kuwait you can change your ticket but Philippines Air you cannot and Thai air is a little bit more expensive as at April 2009.Cebu have a direct flight to Angeles and only bring what you need. Angeles is a dump of a town but at night the lights hide the drabness. Its a cowboy town for sure full of tourists mainly single men?? Theb streets are small and when you arrive on the dusty highway head to Fields Ave which is the main street. Many Hotels in and around this area like Pacifi Breeze Hotel or Kokomos which is the centre point. Try the Walkabout Hotel Aussie owned and ex owner of the Ragman Hotel which is a little way away from the bars and restaurants. You don't need to book but for higher class Hotels yes book on the internet as cheaper. yOU CAN ALSO GET APARTMENTS FROM THE SMALL CLASSIFIEDS in Angeles www.AngelesCity.ph website.eg. A 3 bedroom 2 bathroom = 8- 10,000 Pesos;
POWER OUTLETS IN PHILIPPINES:Are 2 pin flats or round 220 volts 60hz no earth. You can buy adaptors cheap in Ace Hardware in the malls easy enough and cheap. SIMM CARDS & WHERE TO BUY IN PHILIPPINES: Smart simcard in the airport; ask an airport representative for assistance. Activate the sim by dialing *888. you have 2 options in loading your new sim with credits - OTA (over the air) is a card with 300 & 500 denominations. Eload is readily available anywhere, from retails shops to pharmacies to malls. If you have any concerns, you can call toll free *888 for customer service or visit any Smart Wireless Center. If using your mobile make sure its UNLOCKED first then buy a Simm Card eg Smart costs 40P for the simm and you can load up with 100P 200P or 500P. A lot of mney changers ell these simms. Also another one is TalknText for 30P. MANILA TO ANGELES:ATake the Fly the Bus owned by the Ragman Hotel which runs direct to Angeles in 2 hours daily. Check out on the link for more info but it is safe and they will deliver you to your hotel of your choice in Angeles for 600P. You can also catch a cheaper bus at the VICTORY BUS STATION or the RABBIT BUS LINE. These buses are good and cheaper around 110P. Minibuses also ply the Angeles/ Manila run but ask your Hotel staff but normally they are not that helpful as want you to take there tour buses. We found a lot of the information Hotel reception gave was wrong???

CLARK AIRPORT: Location: 7 km/4 Miles NW of Angeles, 23 km/14 Miles NW of San Fernando & 81 km/50 Miles NNW of Manila. Then highway ia a 4 lane express tollway in excellent condition and after the half way point drops to 2 lanes but a nice easy trip to Angeles by bus.If catching a local bus use the RABBIT BUSLINE. By Bus: Philtranco runs an air-conditioned airport shuttle bus runs from the airport to MegaManila. Buses leave the airport daily at 1230, 1730, 1800 & 0130 (this last service does not operate on Mondays). Transfer time ~2 hrs 30. Buses leave MegaMall in Manila daily at 0700, 1100, 1200 & 2000 Philtranco Destination : Bicol region, Samar, Leyte, Davao, Iloilo, Kalibo; Shuttle bus to and from Diosdado Macapagl International Airport (Clark International Airport) in Angeles City, Pampanga ANGELES TO SUBIC BAY: This is where the beaches are and nice resorts 90 minutes from Angeles. You can catch the bus either Fly the Bus or the Southern Cross Hotel Bus which leaves Angeles from the BRASS KNOB HOTEL 440 21st St, Don Juico Ave Clarkeville, Angeles City ( 045-892-5475 run by a nice Australian couple Roy and Tess. Bus leaves at 9am for Subic Bay the 9 minute Bus trip.Cost is 500P. Just book in your hotel for the bus trip and the van will pick you up and deliver you to the bus Hotel.SOUTHERN CROSS HOTEL IS IN 1122 M.H. Del Pilar St. Ermita, Manila Tel: (02)521-2013 Fax (02) 525-5371 website: www.southerncrosshotel.com and they can take you to the airport in Manila for 350P. Fly the Bus leaves Angeles -Subic 10am Mon-Wed-Fri-Sun from Swagman Resort to any Hotel in Subic Bay. The return journey Subic to Angeles leaves at 12.30pm from Swagman Travel office to the Swagman Resort in Angeles but they will pick you up. JolliBee in Angeles one of the best fast food outlets at great prices. Hotdogs with cheese & Burgers, spaghetti dishes real cheap and a favourite with the filipinos. WHAT TO BRING: Bring just light clothes and buy what you need here. Its cheap to buy clothes and ypou can buy Cialis etc on the streets of Angeles. The place is a bit of a dump really as its a bar place but Ok if youre single and looking for someone special.
