The seaside city of Pattaya in Thailand is a haven for the single minded tourists and ex pat haven boasting some 1600 bars. It is situated on a 4 km stretch of road along the sea & along the North end are around 96 bars, hotels and restaurants. This is the seafood paradise. Pattaya is famous for its ski boats, jet skis, banana boat rides, hify parachuting, water sports like fishing with all night bars and nightlife till 3am in the morning. Formally a US Military rest stop and recreation from the 60s and 70s it saw a rapid change in its development. DIGITAL CAMERA DEVELOP YOUR PHOTOS IN PATTAYA Agood place to service your digital photos ONLY while you wait is across the road from Big C but do not get PASSPORT PICS TAKEN AS THEY SAY THEY CANNOT DEVELOP from your memory stick which is rubbish.& then charge you for taking photos of you around 300baht???a total ripof.
Turn right where the bike is on your right and 30 metres up this road opposite Big C you will find the developing Kodak shop
The Kodak shop is OK in Pattaya for camera pics ONLY BUT NOT FOR PORTRAIT PASSPORT PICS AS THEY CHARGE 300 BAHT FOR ABOUT 8 pics and will not hold the negative for you to put on a memory stick. If possible try to Adobe Photoshop the images to the 6 x 4 standard picture size then take the pictures in for them to develop-- you should be able to get 6 images onto one 6 x 4. If not go to the immigration office and they will take while you wait in Jomtien. Cheap pics for 3 baht each and they will do while you wait. Theres a Fuji shop on Soi Buakaew but they charge 6 baht and the quality is not good. They also have min order to develop so keep away from here and use this shop. The Big C superstore is right across the road & HAS A DEVELOPING SHOP UPSTAIRS OUTSIDE THE MAIN BIG C SUPERMARKET DOORS turn left and theres a few Digital shops on beach road but they are dear due to their rents and key money they have to pay each year?? which is understandable. For cameras and camera parts go to the Computer Plaza near Friedship Supermarket on Pattaya South Road. Yes its hard to find a good developer as they always have different agendas. Getting your pictures developed with a digital camera. We tried the Fuji shop in Buakaew Rd but they cost 10 baht each picture. Ended up asking for 2 pics -- and we got them back under exposed. Next stop was the Digital Express shop by Big C off Pattaya 2nd Rd take the turn right straight after Big C on the left about 150 metres up by the Tiger DragonTatoo o the left --Big C across the road. 6 baht each picture & they take their time to Abobe shop your pics instant service and ready within 5 minutes. This is the place-great value. WHICH PHOTO DEVELOPING SHOP TO USE For the best developing service go into Big C Building itself. In the supermarket upstairs go outside and trun left. Theres a good developer there for 3baht each per size 6x4cm photo with min 20 photos and they can develop any size you want in 1 hour. Many of the ones outside on the streets of Pattaya are 6-9 baht each
