PATTAYA FRAUSTER GEORGE MORGAN GETS BAIL UNDER DUBIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

The seaside city of Pattaya in Thailand is a haven for the single minded tourists and ex pat haven boasting some 1600 bars. It is situated on a 4 km stretch of road along the sea & along the North end are around 96 bars, hotels and restaurants. This is the seafood paradise. Pattaya is famous for its ski boats, water sports like fishing with all night bars and nightlife. Formally a US Military rest stop and recreation from the 60s and 70s it saw a rapid change in its development. Today it is a premier beach resort with over 1 million tourists visiting a year.

PATTAYA Beaches Resort & Residences DEVELOPMENT:

2009 some foreigners investors have been taken for a ride when they invest in condos that haven't even been started by brokers & the following is an example in Pattaya. The hype regarding the exclusiveness of condos by the sea have seen some incomplete and the investors have been short pocketed by certain foreigners with little comeback. Its a shame--but in true to style there are some brokers & Real Estate brainwaves who need the deposits to live their lifestyle--- these are the ones that make the good guys look just as bad. Now really would you invest in something thats not built??? be real.

The Beaches Resort & Residences on Sukhumvit Road, near Bang Saray, the developer, Mr Liakat Sultan Dhanji (Canada), of Pacific Shore Developments‘ CEO seems to have slowed down?.  Pacific Shore Developments Ltd. Mr Liakat is not new to developments and has a good career at what he does so no fault of his one of his consultants VP of Sales & Marketing and marketing manager George Morgan --- stole from would be investors; copied the companies contracts & stamp & set about banking an instant fortune.

The background: Not to be outdone the Beaches Resort & Residences was and is a mga project & were to be supported by the Board of Investment of Thailand and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Pattaya Council & was set to become the benchmark of destination resorts in Asia??? True Corporation, was set to create Thailand’s first wireless lifestyle convergent communities which will feature state-of-the-art technology throughout the entire project. The masterplan architect and designers behind the success of The Beaches Resort & Residences are award winning world class design firms – Carl Ettensperger of C&C Studio and Terry Henriksen of Henriksen Design Ltd, have worked on 5-star hotel projects such as Mandarin Oriental, Hyatt Hotels, Ritz Carlton, Siam Paragon Bangkok, Huvafen Fushi Maldives (2008 Worlds Best Beach Resort, Harpers Bazaar Travel), Hard Rock Hotel – Universal Studios, Florida, and many more prestigious resorts. So if they get off the line then this could be a resort that far outmeasures all others it is said?? But: http://thebeachesthailand.com/ is not functioning on the internet as at August 2009 & the website http://www.pacificshoredevelopments.com/ is having major surgery so theres only a contact email address??? strange if they are considering sales at this present time Sept 1st 2009.

FRAUDSTER OUT ON BAIL: FILES MISSING:

The CRIMINAL CASE involving George Morgan was transferred from Bangkok to Banglamung. SOME of the files are not around or sitting some place apparently in Bangkok and the plot deepens as to whonow has been paid off with some of the investors money. Morgan's release was only discovered September the 5th 2009 by Banglamung police when they asked the Bangkok Poilice. They, the Banglamung police were supposed to be handling the case??? so what went wrong or better still who paid who off?? and who gave the authority to move the case to Bangkok. Perhaps it has allowed Morgan to bolt?? perhaps it has allowed some on investors funds to change hands with the Poilice dealing with the case of course the lawyers

This is corporate fraud and those who lost should have reported their cases to the Police by now. If this guy gets away with this fraud those investors only hope is via the civil courts which can take a year or 2 and perhaps against the company itself. Morgan was a representative of the company behind the project, Triple Eight Ltd., therefore it is the Company whom should pay but as the Company are not accused of fraud its Morgan who is the fraudster. Any money he took from clients was therefore taken by the company or was it and the doctored forms made out, which were printed on company headed paper, confirming the amounts paid together with the signatures.of the directors and the company seal. Forged or otherwise a civil court would determine this. What happened to the money after the clients handed it to Morgan is an argument that the company has with Morgan, not with its clients. Sadly the company's directors have still not given any indication that they intend to face up to their liabilities and either reimburse their clients or confirm the validity of their reservations so those who lost should all join as one and seek a solution with the civil court. ( WE CAN HELP ). "The Beaches" project is certainly not going to be the project people will want to even consider if this is the case and those involved will be blacklisted for what they have done to the many investors who were hoping to be allowed to get their funds back. In many cases such as these once the bail terms are announced and the person is allowed to keep his passport he leaves Thailand. The case continues?

FROM MANAGEMENT: Well then the VP of Sales & Marketing anon ----- Mr. George Shoepper Morgan employment was terminated after it was discovered that he had fraudulently sold units at the beaches without the company’s knowledge, seal , authority or official signature all of which had been forged by Mr. George Shoepper Morgan. The company began to gather evidence for legal counsel that recommended that the company contact the crime suppression division. Mr. Morgan is being held in detention and any injured parties should contact ashif@thebeachesthailand.com who will then put you in touch with the relevant authority.

So the CEO may eventually have good intentions to pay back those investors who have lost their money to George but lets wait and see what develops on the Beaches Residence and Resort. In the meantime it is a wakup call for those foreigners investing in unfinished projects in Thailand. What you see as a model is always glamourous --- but wait until its finished?? You will see many advertised in such places as Big C; Carrefour etc but remember you are buying in a condo thats not even started--- its a long time for someone to hold on to your money in the hope that their situation does not change in the building process. Trusting a broker is like trusting a poor man on the street with your money--theres no difference?? If you put down a deposit then chances of a refund are pretty much zero.

With the current August 23rd 2009 media property scams where foreigners are buying up land and property in Samui, Phuket, Pattaya using instant Thai wives there could be well more condo complexes going against the wall and some sad looking faces as the Government decides whether to take back these properties or levy fines. Now whats that going to tell would be investors? Is Pattaya the right place to buy: well for my money I wouldn't buy in something thats not complete for starters?? but I am sure there well be bargains about as those already in want out and those that can wait will reap the leftovers at a bargain price---well thats the theory of some people?
