Getting married in Thailand

Marrying in Thailand will be an experience you will always remember and as well the costs are minimal to what you pay in the West. VENUE 1 : BUDDHIST CEREMONY: If you want Buddhist monks to officiate at your marriage ceremony then we can also arrange this for you. For this service we take you to a temple.( Wat). Startin at 10.00am guests gather & the ceremony starts at 10.30am. The monks chant and officiate at your ceremony & it will take approx 1 hour. At 11am the monks will eat then bade goodbye & return to the Temple. Following the ceremony the monks will eat & are offered their donation while the couple talks to their guests. While the monks eat it is not appropriate to serve alcohol although fruit drinks are acceptable. Following the completion of the ceremony the married couple would then vacate to the dinner venue.	If using monks it is appropriate to have your ceremony in the morning and it is not appropriate in a Hote to use monksl. We recommend a beautiful temple or (Wat). The backdrops are over 700 years old & ideal for your wedding. You must use an odd number of monks eg. 3, 5 or 9 etc so think of your lucky number and that will be the amount of monks who will oversee your wedding and bless you. Each monk is given gifts & an envelope with small monetary donation and the gifts can be items like books, towels--complete in their robes this spectacular display is worth keeping in your treasure trove.You must allow one extra package for Buddha.

VENUE 2: We can also arrange your ceremony outdoors at an old English setting. You choose or allow us to recommend to you. We have many venues to choose from with natural setting outdoors & an old style teak restaurant & bar indoors.	TOur tour buses or mini buses will escort you and your visitors and you will have a Thai/English interpreter throughout. You can then decide about a moonlight dinner on the Ping River via boat or a romantic night at one the many fabulous out of the way restaurants we know you will enjoy-- ideal for small parties or large.

VENUE 3: Conducted at on of our exquisite Hotels but in Traditional Thai style. Not only will you be booked into the the honeymoon suite of the Top Hotel in Chiangmai but also everything takes place here apart from the Thai Buddhist monks.	A small group of say 10-20 people food and venue 250 baht per person. Kan Bai See (Flower arrangement) 3000 baht. Honeymoon room 1 night 1000 baht.( If 200 people attend then the room is free 1 night). Thai attendants eg. 10-20 charges are 2500 baht total. One car for the service married couple is FREE.

2/. FOOD: Traditional Thai food from the delicious: som tum food, fried chicken dishes to vegetarian dishes. Typical Chiangmai style food. Lots of dishes made just for you either hot or without chillis & everything according to your wishes.	Again tell us what you want & we will arrange the buffet or mixed buffet luncheon so you can relax all afternoon. The food will be a mixture of Thai, English, European foods including deserts and fruit with a display fit for a King and Queen.

3/. THAI DANCING PARTIES: From finger dancing in Traditional costumes complete with flower decorations, beautiful costumes & accompanied by Thai traditional music and watch the colours, styles and sounds of Thai traditional dancing at its best.	Entirely up to you. We can arrange a Thai string band laying soft relaxing music to Thai dancing parties

4/. GIFTS for the married couple: Honeymoon suite for 1 night which includes breakfast, includes necklace white mali flowers whose offerings signifies the tradition of gracious respect from generations. It also includes free congratulation book, free flowers and VIP table for you.	We arrange or your travel & itinery accommodation throughout your stay. We are fully licensed and have our own minibus.

5/. EXTRA SERVICES: Musicians ....................3500 baht Cake 1lb cake ...............200 baht per lb Flowers for the ceremony....1000 baht Marriage Bouquet (important).2500 baht Flowers for archway setup 4000 baht Dancing shows during the daytime 3000 baht Monks food: hirage ..........1500 baht Other Ceremony costs: 200 baht for flowers, candles for ceremony & lunch. 2000 baht MONK COSTS: 500 baht per each monk donation, gifts like book, towels etc from your country as well. Limo yes we can quote you.	Digital camera stills on disk are included for FREE. Max of 100 photos taken. If you need video movie we can arrange. Musicians with dancers we can arrange & quote.

6/. CEREMONY: 18.00-- Starts the ceremony at 6 pm. 18.30 -- Guests arrive as lady is inside 19.00 -- Kantoke dinner arrives but not eaten & dancing at the same time 19.30 – Officiating the ceremony & dancing & eating, drinking 21.30 –The bride and groom give thanks. If need to continue your party the costs is 1500 baht for one hour	CEREMONY : Again using the Buddhist monk ceremony in the morning ending with a buffet luncheon. Choice to have the ceremony in special grounds or the temple. We can cater for as many guests as one wants. Please state numbers when quoting..

6/. COSTS: Guests up to 150-200 people the cost per each is 350 baht with soft drinks free. All beer etc and spirits are not included. Guests from 201- 400 persons the cost is 300 baht per guest again with free soft drinks. BASICS: Yes look at a budget of say 25,000 baht for a complete package for 2 people who want to marry in Chiangmai which includes accommodation for 2 days in the honeymoon suite. We can offer you limo, flight sightseeing, and any addons you want. Just discuss with us and we are only an email away. We need plenty of notice so we can discuss the many options from Thai costumes for both parties to full arrangements from moonlit nights on the river to the aftermath of an elephant ride the next day to arranging your getaway honeymoon jet setting to the sunny Southern Islands .

What happens after. If you marry in Bangkok then we have our lawyer meet you and carry out all the necessary work for you.
