THE ROAD TO GOOD HEALTH & WHY YOU SHOULD EAT ACCORDING TO YOUR BLOOD TYPE
.I AM AN "A" BLOOD TYPE WHAT ARE YOU?? 1 It is essential to know your blood group. If you donate blood, CHECK OR GO GET A BLOOD TEST. 2 Start by eating only the foods according to your Blood Type. 3 If your favourite foods are no longer permitted, find suitable substitutes. Wheat is fattening for all the groups. So is ice cream and of course all sugary junky foods. 4 Take the supplements as suggested and be careful not to lose weight too quickly. 5 Note your weight and measurements. Say farewell to all the fat you have because soon you will be a few sizes smaller. Also make a note of chronic ailments, like asthma, fatigue, irritability, etc. 6 The amount of food you eat is negotiable. What you eat is much more important. You should eat every few hours as this speeds up the metabolism. In addition to three main meals, eat at least three to six snacks, choosing from lean mean alternatives and avoid fatty, sugary, gooey foodless junk. 7 Drinking water throughout the day is essential. You can add supplements and a little juice or flavouring to boring old water but water is good to clean your toxins out in the morning. Drink 3 glasses before breakfast & warm drinks NOT COLD to digest hot foods so they don't become solid in your insides. 8 The odd treat is essential for your enjoyment, but just a little! FOODS RECOMMENDED FOR ALL GROUPS: 1 Brown rice. Cook it in bulk and heat up a portion for each meal. Serve with flax oil, stir fried vegetables and soy sauce. 2 Pro Nutro with ground up flax seeds. Have with milk, soy milk or fruit juice. Good for breakfast or filler snacks. Keep a supply at work. 3 Rice cakes. Almost any food fits onto a rice cake. 4 Tofu, is great and can be eaten with anything 5 Molasses. The only sweetener that has an alkaline effect on the body. Honey does not. Molasses contains a lot of iron, potassium, vitamins and trace elements. 6 Parsley. It’s cheap and you should eat a bunch a week: incorporate it into more food dishes, use it as a vegetable or eat it after every meal. High in iron and folic acid, parsley is good for iron deficiencies and I love it. 7 Flax seed oil and ground up flax seeds, provide omega 3 essential fatty acids. The oil can be used on salads and vegetables. 8 Dates can be used to sweeten many foods. If you have a sweet tooth, dates are better, as they are high in fiber as well as fructose. Chicken, turkey Hake, salmon shellfish, most fish. Pork products, caviar, catfish, barracuda. Soya products Eggs Goat milk products Milk, yoghurt, cheese, butter, ice cream. OILS, NUTS & PULSES Flaxseed & olive oil. Canola, sunflower & sesame oil. Corn, safflower, peanut & coconut oil. Pumpkin seeds Walnuts Sesame & sunflower seeds, almonds, pecan nuts. Brazil nuts, cashew & pistachio nuts, peanuts. Black-eyed beans Pinto beans Dried peas Broad beans Chick peas. Kidney beans Lentils: all types GRAINS & VEGETABLES Oats, rice, rye Barley, millet Soya products Tapioca, buckwheat. Corn products, matzos, popcorn, polenta. Wheat products. Wheat bran & germ. Green vegetables, onions, squashes, broccoli, seaweed. Tomatoes, carrots, mushrooms, yams. Potatoes, mealies, alfalfa, cauliflower, cabbage, aubergines (eggplant) FRUITS Plums, prunes, figs, pineapples, dates. Apples, apricots, bananas, grapes, raisins, guavas, kiwi lychees, lemons, pears melons (not cantaloupe spanspek & honeydew), papaya. Coconut, naartjies, oranges, strawberries Juice: pineapple, prune & cherry. Most juices. Orange, apple and apple cider. FATTENING FOODS Wheat, mealies, lentils, kidney beans, cabbage, brussel sprouts, cauliflower. SLIMMING FOODS Kelp, seafood, iodised salt, liver, red meat, spinach, broccoli, pineapple, papaya FOOD SUPPLEMENTS B- complex Vitamin K Calcium & magnesium Iodine (salt or kelp) Pancreatic enzymes Liquorice BENEFICIAL HERBS Liquorice Bladderwrack (kelp) Caynne, chickweed, dandelion, fenugreek, ginger, hops, lime leaf, parsley, peppermint, rose-hip, sarsaparilla. HARMFUL HERBS Alfalfa, aloe, burdock, coltsfoot, cornsilk, echinacea, gentian, golden seal, red clover, rhubarb, senna, sheperd’s purse, st John’s wort (hypericum), strawberry leaf, yellow dock GOOD DRINKS Soya milk (very little), Juices: try for whole fruit with fibre: pineapple, plum, prune, grape, guava, lemon, lychee, mangoe, peach, pear, papaya. Carob drinks, soda water, moderate beer & wine. Herb & spice teas (avoid harmful herbs) Rooibos, green tea, rose-hip, etc. BAD DRINKS Milk, orange & naartjie, apple or cabbage juice, apple cider, coffee, spirits, tea, cola etc.
DO YOURSELF AND BODY A FAVOUR: HERE HOW TO AVOID HEART ATACKS: To prevent heart attack it is important to eat the foods and have the drinks according to your Blood group. Eating the wrobng foods just increases heart attacks so check below on your blood groups and stick to this diet of foods. I found that whenever I ate roast meals with gravies or steaks with gravies I had to go to the toilet. I blamed the restaurant for the food but all along it was my body so once I changed my eating habits and I love vegetables (with small amounts of meats) I never had this problem. It works!
