WHY BOYCOTT MADE IN CHINA PRODUCTS
calls on China to end repression in Burma

Beijing (dpa) -

A New York-based human-rights group has called on China to use its considerable clout to push the ruling generals in Burma to end state repression.
China is one of the largest investors and suppliers of weaponry to Burma, and the New York-based non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch, in a letter to Chinese President Hu Jintao, said the country should take concrete steps to end repression.
In September, Burma's military government cracked down on peaceful protests, killing at least 10 and arresting hundreds, including Buddhist monks.
"Chinese officials have publicly called for 'cooperation' and 'dialogue' between the Burmese generals and their critics, but said nothing when these critics were arrested, 'disappeared' or killed," said Sophie Richardson, Asia advocacy director of Human Rights Watch.
In the letter, Human Rights Watch noted the August 8, 2008 opening date of the Beijing Olympics will also be the 20th anniversary of the 1988 pro-democracy protests in Burma, "during which an estimated 3,000 people were killed."
"Although the Chinese government chose 08/08/08 for symbolic reasons, recent events in Burma and China's ties to the military government mean that the spotlight on that date will also be on the continued suffering of the Burmese people," the letter states.
Human Rights Watch urged Hu to place an embargo on all weapons transfers to Burma and suspend all military cooperation.
Other measures suggested by the human-rights group included supporting UN Security Council resolutions calling for sanctions and other collective action to address the crisis in Burma, and allowing anyone fleeing persecution in Burma to cross the border into China.
"If China takes a strong stand on Burma now, it will be credited rather than criticized on 08-08-08," said Richardson in the letter. 03:41 Oct 18, 2007 Bangkok Post

A very nice long list of dangerous "Made in china" items.
Communist china defends its Terrible dealings with Sudan & Darfur and downplays the effect of its horrible policys on the upcoming olympics.
More forced relocations of Tibetians by the invading communist chinese.
More poisoned toothpaste from communist china.

Even a partial review of China's myriad crimes against humanity provides sufficient reason for any morally conscious person not to buy 'Made in China.' For example, for each purchase that you make, you are funding, promoting or endorsing:

  • the suppression of democracy and freedom
  • wholesale and indiscriminate use of the death penalty
  • commercial harvesting of transplant organs of executed prisoners
  • denial of basic rights to Chinese workers and farmers
  • nationwide forced abortions and sterilizations
  • sweeping and brutal repression of all religions
  • criminal psychiatric abuse of political prisoners
  • routine torture of prisoners
  • military occupation and genocide in Tibet
  • draconian repression in East Turkestan
  • military expansion and aggression
  • world's tightest Internet censorship (and)
  • the largest dealer of "Weapons of Mass Destruction" to rogue states

The labor force in China is not free. When we buy goods manufactured in China we are contributing to the perpetuation of a labor force that has no right to organize, to bargain or to strike. In China, labor organizers are either in jail or slave labor (laogai) camps, or have been executed with a bullet in the back of the neck.  One of the real but often unstated reasons why Western companies are reluctant to relocate industries to democracies like India, where labor is cheap, is that their workers are unionized and have definite rights. Accordingly, people should buy goods made in democracies like India or South Korea, or nations on the road to democracy like Indonesia, Bangladesh and others, instead of those made in China.

The Chinese have a very good philosophy. First step is to get their baby back “Taiwan”. Second is to economically squeeze Japan for the brutality they caused during their invasion of China and this they will do economically. The next is the USA. We help the machine as we buy cheap goods from China. BOYCOTT MADE IN CHINA as we respect Burma and the Burmese people. The only way to stop this repression is for China to step in! then maybe things may change for the best.

Yes China can influence the Burma Junta & Darfur and only China but they only want to exploit the world and do not care about human rights anywhere.

Beijing (dpa) - Two Chinese firms where tests found tainted milk products had exported baby formula milk powder to five countries including Bangladesh and Burma, the government said on Wednesday. The Suokang and Yashili companies had started to recall their exported milk powder products, which were also sent to Yemen, Burundi and Gabon, said Li Changjiang, the head of the State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ).An earlier report said no melamine was found after experts tested samples of Yashili's milk powder earmarked for export.Suokang was based in the eastern city of Qingdao and Yashili in the southern province of Guangdong, Li told reporters. Both firms were among the 22 companies where the ministry found 69 batches of milk powder tainted with melamine, he said.Three babies have died, 158 children have developed "serious kidney problems" and 6,244 infants have been sickened by baby formula contaminated with melamine, health officials said on Wednesday.Police in the northern province of Hebei have charged four people in connection with the largest case of melamine contamination and detained 22 others, state media said.
